IDS vs. R&B

5/26 Nick vs. Brett: The two former Kindergarten classmates are set to take the mound this Friday 5/30. Friday's match-up is the second time these two will face off against one another. These two faced each other last season in Nick's first start since his Parma Hts. years. However, the match-up was short-lived because Nick only lasted 2 innings and Brett had to leave the game early due to a pulled muscle.

Both Nick and Brett's pitching roots go back to their years playing in the Parma Hts. Recreational League. Brett thrived as a strong pitcher throughout the majority of his years in the Parma Hts. League. While Nick, on the other hand, discovered his pitching talents later in his Parma Hts. career as a third string pitcher. Throughout the years, Nick admired Brett's remarkable pitching style and grew into a solid pitcher himself.

Beyond the hype, Friday's pitching match-up is one for the ages. Both pitchers have the talent and ability to lead their team to victory.

Nick and Brett's Pitching Stats This season:

  • Nick is off to a 1-4 start with 7 strikeouts and 2 career performances.

  • Brett is off to a rough start and is having trouble adjusting to the extended pitching mound.

5/17 The odds are looking better for IDS to defeat R&B as R&B loses 30-0 in four innings to Asset Acceptance, the same team that Interior Design only lost 19-10 to in 7 innings. A couple weeks ago R&B lost by the run rule to Slam Jams a team in which Interior Design almost beat. Taking both of R&B's recent loses into consideration and the fact that Interior Design won their first game of the season this past week, Interior Design has the momentum two weeks away from the May 30th match-up. Another important fact is that R&B hasn't faced Computer Quest yet who is 6-0, which would give R&B another loss and one less win.

As the highly anticipated match-up of the season draws nearer, the hype surrounding the game continues to get bigger. Both teams have been talking trash to one another since IDS was born.

Nick, Kevin, and Joy yearn to settle the score once and for all after losing two games to R&B by the run rule with Computer Quest last season. Nick has eagerly waited for his second chance to pitch against R&B after they disgracefully welcomed him into the league in his first game pitching in about 9 years. They rocked the rusty pitcher with an inside the park grand slam forcing Nick to leave the game after two innings.

To prevent a repeat of Computer Quest and R&B's first meeting, Nick didn't pitch the rivals second meeting. Instead, the opposing pitcher got the nod and her uncanny performance enabled R&B to keep their bats on their shoulders.

Since last season R&B's roster has changed and Nick, Kevin, and Joy have a new team that is more motivated to kick R&B's @$$ than last season's brats on Computer Quest. What R&B fails to realize is that this year the contest is more evenly matched.

IDS vs. R&B is the only 10:30 game of the season. One can only wonder is this fate or is this merely coincidental?
