22nd: Interior Design ousts R&B from
the Tournament and deals up the Hat Trick
For the third time this season Interior Design
defeats their rival R&B. Coming into the game after a dramatic
upset of the notorious Computer Quest, R&B actually felt
they had a chance versus the tournament favorite Interior Design.
That is until Lloyd who was believed to be in Detroit for the
weekend arrived on the mound 2 minutes before game time. Interior
Design's whoopin sticks immediately went right to work. In
the bottom of the first, three straight solid hits by Julie,
Nick, and Peanut, put three ducks in the pond for Lloyd who
crushed a no out grand slam to quickly take the lead 4-2. Mounting
15 runs throughout the game IDS's offense was definitely in
tournament form. On the other hand, IDS's defense was very
sloppy allowing R&B to pull within 4 runs in the fifth
inning. But R&B had no real weapons to mount a successful
come back. IDS delivers the knock out blow to Ron, Brett, and
the rest of R&B's pathetic forth year in the league.
The final score was 15-8 as IDS looks to next week's championship
game with Computer Quest out of the hunt.

15th: Interior Design earns
Sixth Win in a Row by Forfeit
The regular season came to an end Friday night
for Interior Design as they finish 7-2 with their sixth win
in a row courtesy of a forfeit by FC Towers. Interior Design
finishes in second place in the second half of the season
after a exhilarating R&B come from behind victory over Computer
Quest with a little help from IDS's own "Bling Bling".
After a complete turn around from the first half of the season
IDS now looks ahead to the tournament next week where they
our a heavy favorite.

8th: Interior Design takes
care of R&B 6-2
The toned done rematch versus Interior
Design and rival R&B had everything but the hype. However, emotions
still ran wild. With an unimpressive second half of the season, R&B
felt like David in David vs. Goliath against the powerful IDS. Interior
Design's revamped offense staled at only six runs. R&B's inconstant
offense only managed to sneak in 2 runs. R&B's pitcher Brett,
returning from Niagara Falls early that day with a hang over managed
to pitch 7 innings strong with 5 K's including friend and rival pitcher
coach Nick. Coach Ron of R&B made a nice catch at third near
IDS's bench and then proceeded to taught IDS causing Boo's to ring
out across the SBW complex. But in the seventh inning the heavily
favorite IDS came away with the victory 6-2. After the game the brooms
were out in the stands because this victory completes a 2 game regular
season sweep of IDS's opponent R&B.

1st: Lakewood Bottoms Up goes
Bottoms Down Twice Courtesy of Interior
Design
In the two teams first ever meeting of the
season, a late night doubleheader, Lakewood Bottoms Up probably
wished
the games were rained out like the first scheduled meeting.
Interior Design dominated the barely present Lakewood Bottoms
Up 15-4 in the first game (counts for 2nd half of the season)
and 14-4 in the second game (makeup from the first half
of the season) sweeping them 2-0 on the season. Solid base
hitting
and good base running along with speed gave IDS the edge
over the weak Lakewood Bottoms Up in the doubleheader. Despite
playing
two softball games prior, Llyod pitched two solid games
and had two inside the park homeruns. Kevin, who leads the
team
in inside the park homers also had two. Nick missed a potential
grand slam after the left center fielder robbed him using
full extention in deep center with two outs and bases loaded
in
the 3rd. The duo victory increases IDS's winning streak
to four. Computer Quest's loss keeps IDS's hopes of obtaining
the first place title in the 2nd half of the season alive
heading
into next week's (not as hyped up as the first meeting)
R&B
rematch.

July 25th: Interior
Design wins Two in Row!! Crush Foundation 18-8!
Coming off the most exhilarating win of the
season since R&B, Interior Design faced their buddies
Foundation who came into the game on a different high from
last week for
winning their first game of the season. Right away, Interior
Design got off to a quick start versus the worst team in
the league with five runs in the top of the first. But unbeknownst
to IDS is that Foundation came out to play. Foundation
kept
the game close by taking a different approach to the over
confident Interior Design by directing most of their hits
to right field.
Darci, filling for Sara in right field who has been MIA
since before the bi-week, prevented extra bases by not letting
a
single ball get by her. The underdog Foundation impressively
managed to keep pace with IDS until the sixth inning when
they gave up 8 runs and allowed IDS to bust the game wide
open allowing
the better team to come forth. Interior Design stops Foundation
dead in their tracks in the bottom of the sixth and wins
18-8. For the second time this season IDS has a two game
win streak
and will have the opportunity to make it four in there
first ever meeting versus Lakewood Bottoms Up in next weeks
double
header.

July
18th: Interior Design Leaves
the Titans Thunderstruck
31-11!!
Interior Design shows the Titans how to play IDS softball, and makes up for
their 26-3 loss versus the Titans on May 9th. Interior Design used their pent
up aggression from last week's upsetting brawl with Computer Quest to come
out bats a blazin. The Titans coming off a championship lost the previous night
in their other league and minus King Titan their star pitcher, still felt that
this game was going to be a walk in the park. Well they definitely got their
walk in the park alright, because they walked every IDS player in the park.
Up to bat in the top of the first Interior Design used the patience they learned
last week versus Computer Quest and racked up 8 runs off of only two hits.
In the bottom of the first the Titans quickly gained 2 runs back. But as the
game progressed, Interior Design managed to keep the lead throughout the entire
game, because any mistake Interior Design made on defense they made up for.
With time running out, leading 13-6 going in
the top of the sixth, Interior Design new that 7 runs would
not be enough of a cushion versus the number one team. So IDS
brought out their whoopin sticks. In front of a huge crowd
gathered to see one of the biggest upsets since Christ wore
short pants and their friends from Computer Quest who stuck
around to intimidate them, IDS launched a massive offensive
attack. Masterfully combining walks and clutch hits, Interior
Design put 18 runs on the score board. The Titans had no clue
how to play IDS at all. Alena dogged them hard with a double
to right center after receiving no respect. Jay put the icing
on the cake with a 4 run grand slam blast over the left fielders
head.
With the score now 31-7 the Titans came up to
the plate in the bottom of 6th Thunderstruck for their last
at bats. They went right to work with back-to-back base hits
in the holes and quickly gained four runs back. But that's
ok cause Interior Design had 19 more to spare. Game...Set ....Match.
The Titans slowly came out of their dugout to shake Interior
Design's hands shaking at the knees, with shocked looks on
their face, and with their buts sore from the 20 run spankin.
IDS cleans the Titans clock 31-11 and finally earns the respect
they deserve from the other teams in the league.

July
11th: Interior Design puts
up a Fight Versus Computer
Quest and Loses it in the
Sixth 15-9
At the on slot of the highly anticipated
rematch of the season, the tensions were high because Interior Design
was on a mission to dethrone the top-seated Computer Quest and settle
the score once and for all. Prior to the game, Interior Design gathered
to sharpen their game plan and got pumped up thanks to a nicely delivered
motivational speech by Michael. Interior Design was granted home
team and took the field with their teeth on their tongue. Computer
Quest's explosive bats got right to work in the top of the 1st and
before Interior Design even took a pitch they trailed 4-0. But Interior
Design came right back and cut the lead in half with two runs in
the bottom of the 1st. In the second inning, more strategic hitting
by Computer Quest put them on top 8-2. At this point in the game
more mud was being slung from Computer Quest's mouths then from their
cleats after three days of intense rain in Northeast Ohio.
But in the bottom of the 3rd, back-to-back walks
by the opposing pitcher created a carousel around the bases
which evened the score 8-8. A new game was born because the
momentum had shifted Interior Design's way and their master
plan was in effect. In the bottom of the forth, Interior Design
went ahead 9-8 but heads up ball by Computer Quest quickly
shifted the momentum back to them. A two run dinger over the
fence in left field left Jillian and Interior Design looking
over their heads at the ball and at the score board cause Computer
Quest regained the lead 10-9.
As the hour and 10 minute time limit approached
the umpire announced that this intense battle was going to
be decided in the sixth inning. And it was. The thin ice
that kept the two teams from battling it out was broken.
After being
heckled by the fans in the bleachers behind him, former teammate
of coach Nick's of Computer Quest reached 1st and decided
to taunt the crowd back. In the adjacent Interior Design
dugout
Nick's older sister responded to the opposing player's childish
acts by telling him to shut up. He turned to Nick's older
sister and responded
with an obscene gesture and comment. Michael overheard his
obnoxious comments and traded his pregame speech for his
daughter's defense on his way to first to rebut the opposing
player's
obscenities towards Nick's older sister.
This confrontation triggered the opposing pitcher
to run out from her bench in defense of her immature boyfriend.
At this point both benches began to clear, and Jenna who was
platooned to avoid sparking issues between the two teams ran
out of the field from the bleachers and began to fight with
the opposing pitcher. The two verbal battles raged on until
the chaos was finally broken up after the umpire got his thumb
out of his but and the commissioners waddled in from the office.
The opposing player and Michael were immediately ejected from
the ball game.
After the game resumed, coach Nick decided to
get the last word in and it just so happened to be right next
to the commissioner who biaslly parked his but in IDS's dugout
after the brawl. This so called threat resulted in coach Nick's
ejection from the ball game.
As the top of the sixth inning progressed, Interior
Design lost their composer and gave up 5 runs. A combination
of the umpire jocking Computer Quest and wanting to get the
game over and Interior Design's lack of composer prevented
IDS's from mounting a come back in the bottom of the sixth.
Computer Quest beat Interior Design 15-9. After the game, the
battle continued and the cops had to be called to escort the
rival teams home.

June 27th: Interior
Design comes up with a Big Win over Asset
Acceptance 5-2
Throughout the entire game Interior Design had complete control over Asset
Acceptance. Interior Design's monstrous defense issued five 1,2,3, innings.
Lloyd with a bum foot and all pitched a no hitter into the fourth inning. Kevin,
Mike, and Branden all made nice catches. As Interior Design's defense continues
to thrive, the offense is struggling to put up big numbers. The offense left
runners stranded and only managed to put five runs on the board against three
outfielders, but it is defense that wins ball games and earned Interior Design
a much needed victory going into Computer Quest.

20th: Interior Design loses
8-2 to Slam
Jams
After coming off a 5 inning masterpiece last week versus the Coyotes, Interior
Design played Slam Jams like it was the second game of the season once again.
The absence of Julie and Jay and the late arrival of Branden caused Interior
Design a bit of defensive chaos. Lack of hitting from key individuals and
defensive ESPN web gems by Slam Jams kept Interior Design's run total at
2. Interior Design's second half of the season's record evens out at .500
(1-1) going into a 3 game stretch facing the three toughest teams in the
division.

June 13th: Interior
Design makes Quick Work of the The
Valley Tavern Coyotes 12-1
Leading off the second half of the season with a rematch versus the Coyotes,
Interior Design got right to work in the top of the first with an explosive
8 run rally shaking off the offensive shutout last week versus FC Towers.
The newly revamped Interior Design was charged by Alena's dedication (driving
in 5 hours from Kentucky), Tim's solid base hits, Lloyds flawless pitching,
and Jillian and Darci's IDS debut. Once again Interior Design's defense was
outstanding, allowing only 1 run to score. The Coyotes, probably expecting
to see the same inexperienced IDS team they saw in April, faced 5 innings
of total domination. Interior Design defeats The Valley Tavern Coyotes 12-1
and have won 3 out of their last four.

6th: FC Towers issue Interior
Design a Blank Reality Check
Interior Design brought their defense
and their over confidence from last weeks
victory over R&B, but forgot left their explosive offense. FC Towers
ends Interior Design's 2 game win streak, shutting them out 5-0. For the
second
week in a row, Nick struggled on the mound and failed to get passed the
third inning. And for the second week in a row Lloyd came in as a relief
and pitched
a solid game. Throughout the entire game Interior Design put up a strong
defense. Two spectacular catches by Nick's older sister and Sara robbed
two players on FC Towers
of base hits. However, silent bats and poor base running prevented Interior
Design from putting any points on the board. In the battle of the 2-5 teams,
FC Towers comes out on top in the last game of the first half of the season
staling Interior Design at a record of 2-6.

May
16th: Interior Design defeats Foundation 10-4
Interior Design defeated Foundation 10-4, the only other winless team, to show
that they are not the worst team in the league and prove that they are better
than their record. With a restructured defense and adjusted line-up IDS finally
found a winning combination. All around the team's effort and numbers were
outstanding. Nick pitched 7 strong innings, walking only 2. The newly structured
defense only allowed 4 runs. Kevin had two inside the park homers and Jay also
had one. The long awaited victory celebration began when the ball was popped
up over the pitcher's mound in the bottom of the seventh and Nick caught the
ball to secure the victory. After the game the victory celebration moved to
the upstairs bar where the beer was flowing as the team polished off an estimated
18 pitchers of beer. IDS even drank with a couple good sports from Foundation
who ended up buying Nick a beer.
The only disappointment in the game is when Michael
Galioto pinched hit for Tim and ended up limping off the field
after beating the throw to first after hitting a pee pee shot
to the pitcher with bases loaded. His heroic effort scored
Sara from third and left bases loaded with no outs but might
have ended his season.
May
9th: Interior Design loses
to the Titans 26-3
The Titans showed IDS what it takes to play in the I-B division on Friday nights
in a 26-3 victory in 4 innings. The Titans, who originally sign-up to play
in the competitive coed division on Friday nights (I-B), was selected randomly
to drop to the lower division (I-A) and lead the division undefeated going
into the game. As the two teams faced off in an as uneven match as an OSU and
Kent State football game, the game was over in the second inning. The Titans
appeared confident because their roots probably extend back to the Mr. Z Video
era. IDS wore their thin skin because they are having a tough time adapting
to I-A ball. When it was all said and done IDS didn't do anything different
then any other team in the league that has played the Titans, and that is withstand
the mercy rule.
May
2nd: Interior Design loses
to Computer Quest 18-3
IDS matched Computer Quest run for run up until the top of the 2nd when Computer
Quest busted the game wide open. The conquest to defeat their arch rival, plagued
with sloppy playing and bad officiating, ended abruptly in the 4th inning by
the 15 run mercy rule. The only thing positive that came out of the 18-3 loss
to Computer Quest is that IDS lost as a team. After the game words were exchanged
between the opposing Jenna's eventually culminating in a police report filed
by IDS's Jenna for harassment against the opposing pitcher.
April
25: Interior Design loses
to Asset Acceptance 19-10
Interior Design looses 19-10 to Asset Acceptance and remains winless at 0-3.
Effected by poor attitudes, player absences, and the cold rain, Interior Design
couldn't defend against Asset Acceptance's heavy hitting. Veteran Michael Galioto
pitched 3 and 1/2 solid innings after relieving Nick in the top of the fourth
who lost his concentration. As the game went on, IDS's momentum was partially
regained due to monstrous hitting by Jay and Kevin, who each had two inside
the park home runs. To avoid embarrassment, IDS needs to retain that momentum
for next week because they are scheduled to take on their arch revival Computer
Quest who leads the division with a record of 3-0.
April
18th: Interior Design loses
to Slam Jams 6-4
Interior Design had the lead going into the 6th but couldn't hold on. For the
second week in a row the 6th inning has been the difference in the game. Despite
the allying winds both pitchers pitched phenomenal games. Nick had a career
day with 3 Ko's and the pitcher for Slam Jams had 5. Injuries also plagued
the young Interior Design Studio in the loss. Branden, after coming off an
excellent performance last week, had to leave the game in the bottom of the
1st inning after making a brilliant sliding catch. Jenna had to be carried
off the field in the top of the sixth after pulling a leg mussel running to
second on a double. Injuries and lack of offense kept the rookie team from
obtaining their first victory as they loose 6-4 to Slam Jams. Michael Galioto
showed his veteran experience in his IDS debut, by making some great plays
at third and going 2 for 2 batting. Nick's older sister also caught two balls in right
field to make two crucial outs in the 6th.
April
11th: Interior Design loses
to The Valley Tavern Coyotes 17-16
Interior Design rallied a 7 run come back in the top of the seventh,
but came up 1 run short last night against the Coyotes. The team
got off to an explosive
8 run start in the top of the first but couldn't hold on to the lead as the
young teams true colors began to show. A couple bad innings filled with errors,
bad pitching, and bad officiating calls kept the young team from obtaining
their first victory as they fall to the sloppy Coyotes 16-17 in the opening
game of the season. Branden Osborne and Alena Sutton "peanut" both
had outstanding games in the loss.
April
8th: First Game Preview
Interior Design Studio's highly anticipated first game of the season is this
Friday April 11th (weather permitting). They take on the Valley Tavern Coyotes
returning from last season with a added backer. The Coyotes finished mediocre
last season so they shouldn't pose too much of a threat to the rookie team
Interior Design Studio. Nick is scheduled to pitch coming of a 2-4 record last
season with Computer Quest. Game time is 7:30 on field 3.
